Developer of Navitus Bay wind farm releases shortlist of Southern ports to serve as operations base for offshore project
Navitus Bay is due to sign a memoranda of understandings (MoUs) with Poole, Portland on the Dorset coast and Yarmouth on the Isle of Wight. The developer, a 50/50 joint venture between EDF of France and Dutch utility Eneco, claims the port eventually chosen as O&M base could reap a £670m economic windfall over 25 years.

In other offshore wind farm news, the supplier portal for Eon's Rampion project, which has been developed by Marine South East, will be going live shortly and a number of Meet-the-Buyer events are being planned for the Autumn.
