NOC Innovation Day: Space-Enabled Maritime Domain Awareness; 13th May 2026, 9.30-12.30pm, NOC, Southampton

The National Oceanography Centre (NOC) Innovation Hub is hosting a dedicated Innovation Day delivered in partnership with Liz Clutton, Space South Central, and Grant Day, ESA BASS Ambassador. This focused event will explore how space assets are transforming Maritime Domain Awareness (MDA) and strengthening Positioning, Navigation and Timing (PNT) capabilities through GNSS and complementary technologies.
Bringing together industry, academia, and government stakeholders, the day will explore applications of satellite Earth Observation, GNSS, and resilient PNT solutions to address maritime security, safety, environmental monitoring, and operational efficiency challenges.
The event will feature:
- Expert insights on space-enabled Maritime Domain Awareness
- Opportunities for cross-sector collaboration and innovation
- Networking with leaders across the maritime and space communities
- Examples of ESA funded projects that enhance Maritime Domain Awareness, and details of how to apply for funding for your company's ideas

The event will also host guest speakers from the Royal Navy and DESNZ.
