New standards for marine diesel fuel - downloadable guide
The IMarEST Small Ships Group has dealt firmly and decisively with considerable concern and confusion raised in the industry by EU Directive 30/2009/EC; the requirement to add biofuel content to gas oil and reduce sulphur content. A major conference was held at Greenwich last October to address the shortcomings of the DfT's limited and inadequate consultation.
The results have been considered carefully by the DFT for the UK legislation enacting the Directive.
This intervention has helped raise the awareness of oil companies and distributors.
