Can India help you expand your business?

A new service has been launched by the UK India Business Council to help UK SME's enter the Indian Market.

Its well known that entering new markets is never an easy option but the case for export is equally compelling. According to the UKTI, firms that export increase their productivity by 35 per cent in the first year alone; they achieve stronger financial performance and are more likely to stay in business.

UKIBC is a new service which will provide intelligence, events, reports, and create "communities" linking large and small companies around new business opportunities in six key sectors in India.

The aim is to help UK firms understand the market, identify business opportunities and connect with potential partners. Sector members also get exclusive access to an online B2B hub to connect with Indian and UK businesses.

UKIBC will be hosting a series of events where members will have the opportunity to meet with leading speakers and India experts. Delegates will be able to network, meet other businesses and gain exclusive access to incoming businesses from India.

Plans are also underway to take a delegate of small and medium sized businesses to India in October to explore partnerships with Indian companies.
