New Crane and Anchor simulator opens in Gosport

Gosport MP Caroline Dinenage opened a new Crane & Anchor simulator at Mabway's Gosport Training facilty last month.

The state of the art simulator, manufactured by Transas in Portsmouth is a new venture for training specialists, Mabway and has the potential to benefit a wide range of marine support companies based in and around the South Coast.

The simulator can be programmed with a number of crane types and conditions and has the ability to be configured to allow winch and anchor handling operations in all conditions of sea and weather.

Mabway aims to deliver courses to marine companies based both locally and nationally. Key players from the marine industry and others involved in lifting operations were invited to attend the recent launch of the simulator.
