Innovation vouchers worth £2000 and £4000 available for South East companies

The South East Innovation and Growth Team are offering a mixture of £2,000 and £4,000 Innovation Vouchers as part of a 'pilot' scheme to promote SMEs to build their innovation and research capabilities through buying support from Knowledge Base organisations such as Universities and colleges.

Eligible SMEs need to be based in South East England (SEEDA area) and have the willingness and potential to collaborate on developing innovative products, processes or services.

The SMEs will be assisted to gain access to Knowledge Base expertise and facilities to get help with projects that they themselves do not have the technology or expertise to complete.

The Innovation Vouchers can be used to subsidise the cost of the interaction with the SME being expected to provide a contribution to the overall work to be carried out (the minimum being the VAT element of the work).

Typical uses for an innovation voucher may include:
* Technical validation of a technology
* Developing a prototype or demonstrator
* Consultancy from experts or specialists
* Using knowledge base facilities or equipment

Each company supported in the scheme will be eligible for one voucher only.
