CAMIS Marina Tourism Cluster Research Survey
There has been substantial growth in the marina industry over the last decade and with this a realisation that marinas are ideally situated to provide a hub for local business and industry cluster activities.
The purpose of this research is to study the marinas along the South Coast of England and the Northern Coast of France to gain a better understanding of the leisure marine industry in the Channel region. Results from this research will contribute towards a revised policy and set of tools for enabling Marina Clusters to further their economic growth and therefore the growth of the local area whilst opening opportunities for cross-border collaboration with France.
Marine South East and the University of Chichester are looking to further the knowledge and understanding of marinas and how they interact at a business level with the businesses both within the marina and in the local area.
There is evidence that marinas are ideally positioned to provide a level of support that impacts on the economic growth of the area and that marinas that work and collaborate with local industry increase their own potential towards growth and sustainability.
We would be very grateful if marina operators would take the time to follow the link below to an online questionnaire. Your response will be invaluable to helping us to understand the framework that marinas run to and help us to facilitate any necessary policy changes to help marinas grow and develop. It will also allow for future collaboration and facilitate potential cross-channel activities such as sharing best practice.
The survey takes around 15 minutes to complete. All responses will be collated to provide an indepth understanding of the marina industry and the scope of business activities that occur within and around each marina.
All data collected in this survey will be annonymous, and held securely for three years, although you will be asked for the name of the marina you are responsing for. Data will not be shared with any third parties
