Short courses at the University of Brighton

The Collaborative Training Centre at the University of Brighton will shortly be running two new courses: What every business needs to know about Web 2.0 and Social Media and An Introduction to Marketing and Sales: developing your business for greater profitability.

We are also running our popular Practical Marketing for Businesses course again in the New Year.

All these courses will be held in the Cockcroft Building on the university’s campus at Moulsecoomb, Brighton. Brief details are below and more information can be found by following the links.

What every business needs to know about Web 2.0 and Social Media

16, 23, 30 November, 7 and 14 December 2010

This course, made up of five half-day sessions, is designed for anyone who works in or runs a business and wants an introduction and to better understand Web 2.0 and social media and what these tools can do for your business. It is an introductory course that aims to demystify the jargon and cut through to what you really need to know. Each session is designed to be self-contained so you may choose to take all five or just individual sessions.

An introduction to marketing and sales: developing your business for greater profitability

17, 24 November, 1 and 8 December 2010

This is a highly interactive and thought provoking course which will challenge participants to look at the fundamentals of their marketing and sales activities, to see how these can be improved to increase revenue and profitability. It is a series of four half-day classes run over a four-week period.

Practical marketing for business

Thursdays 3 Feb to 7 April 2011 (10 half-day sessions)

This course will benefit anyone who wants to gain practical marketing knowledge. It is ideal for companies wishing to grow rapidly or change their businesses, and for those who need to become more customer, sales, and market focused. The course is oriented towards acquiring practical skills and contains realistic, useful advice from week one, enabling you to start using tools to improve your business immediately.
