'Pushing down waste... Pushing up productivity' - 5 December

Marenet logo

The focus of the December MareNet event in Newport on 5th Dec is pushing down waste, pushing up productivity.

Marine Southeast, in conjunction with the Isle of Wight Chamber of Commerce (Cowes Marine Cluster) and BMF IOW branch are holding a MareNet event for marine companies on the Island and from the mainland, which will focus on opportunities for business.

The event is taking place at the IOW College, who are co-hosting the occasion and will be showcasing their own marine training centre. Marine South East will provide an update of their current and future initiatives aimed at enabling marine business to be more focused and competitive, participants will then hear from a major effort aimed at meeting the obligations of business to reduce waste as well as investment opportunities where direct help is at hand.

Rounding off the evening, will be a speed-networking session enabling companies to find and identify local suppliers and partners for specific marine requirements - buying locally being another way to reduce the carbon footprint. Participants will be able to network in a relaxed environment over a buffet provided by the host organisations and transport for mainland participants will be provided between Cowes and Newport. Further details can be found by emailing admin@marinesoutheast.co.uk
