Companies are missing out on claiming R&D Tax Credits

money picture

DTI have recently published new advice for businesses to help improve understanding about the benefits of R&D Tax Credits and to provide reassurance that the application process is relatively straightforward.

R&D Tax Credits represent the biggest single source of financial support offered by the government for business R&D activities. However, many companies are missing out either because they do not appreciate that their R&D activities qualify for support or because they feel the application process is too complicated.

An introductory leaflet ‘R&D Tax Credits: What’s in it for you?’ and a series of case studies illustrating how a range of companies have successfully applied for the R&D Tax Credits can be found on the DTI website http://www.dti.gov.uk/innovation/randd/randd-tax-credits/page11350.html or alternatively copies can be ordered from the DTI Publications order line on 0845 015 0010.
