In light of the assessment by the International Maritime Organisation that carbon emissions from international maritime shipping make up 2.2% of the global total, and left unchecked could increase by as much as 250% in the period to 2050, it’s timely that Innovate UK has made public its chosen seven projects to be funded under the second Vessel Efficiency - Better Systems at Sea - competition.
