Maritime UK Solent and many maritime organisations in the region are members of The Solent Cluster - a collaboration of industry leaders, global organisations, universities and local government working together to create a low carbon future that will benefit the local economy, the region and the UK. 

The Solent Cluster and project partners were awarded national funding of nearly £750,000 to progress plans to decarbonise industry across the Solent area, and as part of this are currently surveying industrial businesses to better understand the current industrial energy landscape and the appetite for the adoption of low carbon energy and technology in the future.
