The German Ocean Foundation and AI Hamburg have partnered together to launch the AI for the Oceans Award, together with SMM, the maritime trade show, and Forum Oceano from Portugal.

Startups and Initiatives from around the world can apply for the AI for the Oceans Award if they aim to improve the situation of global oceans.

The winner of the award will receive €10,000, a campaign on LinkedIn, and three presentations to expert audiences in the Marine Industry, AI and Finance.

14 highly respected experts from Artificial Intelligence, Ocean Science, and finance will evaluate the best Startups and Initiatives that use AI to improve the Situation of the Oceans. The jury will give feedback on all ideas.

The longlist and three finalists will be presented at SMM, the maritime event taking place in September 2024 in Hamburg in Germany.

The deadline for entries is 19th June 2024.
