Maritime UK have launched their first ever Maritime UK Solent Awards to celebrate all those working in the maritime sector in the region.

Businesses and organisations are being asked to shine a light on the successes of the Solent maritime cluster - either by entering a category, sponsoring an award or coming along to the awards evening.

Applications for the awards opened on 22nd July 2022 and close on 26th August 2022. The winners will be announced at a ceremony on 14th October 2022 at the Leonardo Royal Southampton Grand Harbour Hotel in Southampton.

There are 12 awards categories for large, small and medium sized enterprises as well as some for individuals:

• Clean Maritime Business
• International Trade
• Employer of the Year
• Start-up of the Year
• Future Skills
• Business of the Year
• Apprentice of the Year
• Employee of the Year
• Maritime Hero
