Solent Freeport and Solent Growth Partnership have launched a new £50,000 Apprenticeship Incentive Programme to assist businesses in creating apprenticeship opportunities. 

Eligible SMEs recruiting an apprentice for the first time can receive up to £2,000 in funding, alongside practical support to help with recruitment, onboarding and developing the future workforce. 

Funding is available on a first-come, first-served basis and focuses on growth sectors including engineering, manufacturing, software, data, business services and infrastructure.
