Maritime Energy Transition Summit 2026; 5th February 2026, virtual event

The virtual Maritime Energy Transition Summit (METS) takes place 5th February 2026 online. The day aims to provide practical, actionable insights around key topics like alternative fuels and energy efficiency.
The maritime industry stands at a crossroads. Decarbonization is no longer a distant ambition but a pressing reality. Yet the path forward is complex, shaped by multiple fuels and technologies, evolving regulations, and economic pressures.
During this webinar we aim to cut through the complexity and provide clarity around what decarbonization strategy works for you today, and what is coming next.
Two pillars define the conversation.
The first is alternative fuels. For decarbonization to truly accelerate, low-greenhouse gas versions of fuels like ammonia, methanol, and biofuels need to be developed at scale, while the global fleet requires a large-scale technological transformation to be able to burn them. At METS 2026, we will explore practical pathways for the adoption of these fuels. In discussions with DNV experts and our partners throughout the industry, we will address key components, such as infrastructure readiness, safety standards, and commercial viability. We will address major barriers to adoption and showcase real-world projects and partnerships
The second pillar focuses on energy efficiency. While the adoption of low-GHG fuels is crucial to decarbonization, this can be complemented and enhanced by a wide range of energy-efficiency measures.
Throughout the day, interactive panels will debate feasibility and timelines, while breakout sessions will dive into technical, regulatory, and commercial aspects.
Tune into METS 2026 and gain some clarity and practical insights to help you chart a clear and viable pathway for your decarbonization journey.
